AECOM Business Development - Industrial Water / Wastewater in Houston, Texas

Job Summary

AECOM is growing our Industrial Water/Wastewater team. We are looking for a motivated Senior Level Business Development professional with technical expertise and extensive client relations who manage the identification, development and capture of water/wastewater engineering projects in the oil, gas, and chemicals space. In this relationship building role, he or she will be responsible for all aspects of project development from client identification through the capture process. The focus of this effort will be in Texas, particularly the Gulf Coast, but ultimately the position could have national reach.

Planning and Strategy

  • Develop and execute a strategy to grow AECOM’s industrial water/wastewater presence in the OG&C market

  • Work with other industrial water/wastewater market sector leads to develop regional and national strategies and marketing plans

Relationships

  • Develop new client and internal relationships that result in leads/opportunities. Maintain existing relationships.

  • Develop personal relationships with key leadership within strategic clients

  • Assist regional client account managers and seller/doers in developing/maintaining relationships

Pursuits

  • Identify local and regional opportunities.

  • Develop and implement specific strategic pursuit plans.

  • Serve as Capture Manager on key industrial water and wastewater pursuits.

  • Write proposals, develop technical approach and win strategies.

Minimum Requirements

  • 20+ yrs. experience in industrial water/wastewater consulting engineering, progressive marketing/business development experience.

  • Previous and on-going successful client relationships with major private sector clients in the Greater Gulf Coast Area, particularly focused in the oil, gas, and chemical sector

  • Proven track record of successful client and business development

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of the Texas industrial water/wastewater market.

  • North American market knowledge a plus

  • Agile response to fast paced, complex work environment and organizational change
