AECOM Aviation Program Manager in Houston, Texas

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Aviation Program Manager. The position will work in a matrix organization, with local transportation and operations staff, regional leadership, and national transportation business line executives to assist in winning and delivering new AECOM work with major global aviation components.

This position can be located in the US or Canada.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic plan and delivery on key client and program success

  • Has broad program management impact

  • Preparing and delivering presentations on behalf and in support of the client’s program.

  • Interacting with executive level government or public officials and/or executive level clients on significant program matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

  • Effectively communicating with the public and with clients’ technical staff, management and governing boards

  • Working collaboratively with AECOM Transportation leadership team to ensure resources throughout the Aviation Market Sector are being utilized on projects and pursuits

  • Initiating and maintaining extensive contacts with key officials of other organizations

  • Working with colleagues to deliver intelligent solutions that ensure quality project delivery

  • Attending conferences and workshops to strengthen existing client relationships and establishing new relationships

  • Obtaining an understanding of emerging technologies and market drivers

  • Maintaining a high National profile

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 12 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership

  • The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in the aviation transportation industry and have a successful track record of major airport and aviation program management.

  • The applicant will have extensive experience in marketing, developing, designing and managing aviation projects.

  • This position requires the candidate to be an industry leader recognized by key aviation contractors and owners.

  • This individual must have a keen understanding of airport and airline operations, FAA regulations, and other regulatory requirements specific to airport development
