The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide oversight and technical direction to environmental laboratories supporting multiple governments
Interpretation of regulatory and contractual guidance related to environmental chemistry
Providing advice and direction to project managers, field staff, and subcontracted laboratories regarding project specific analytical and quality control requirements
Preparation of Quality Assurance Project Plans
Data validation using EPA National Functional Guidelines and similar state and regional guidance
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Environmental Science
4+ years related experience
Analytical Chemistry, Data Validation, and Project Management experience
Must be comfortable with the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and have familiarity with the concepts and use of common database software packages
Technical expertise on lab analytical services in a commercial setting
Excellent written and verbal skills are required for concise communication externally with clients and contractors, and internally with direct reports, area experts, and management
Experience with CERCLA process
Self-motivated problem solver capable of working in a team setting
Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
Master's Degree a plus
Analyst and/or supervisor in an environmental chemistry laboratory
Data Analysis experience
Familiar with State of Hawaii environmental program
Experience with DoD QSM
Experience working in Hawaii.
Professional license or affiliation (i.e., CHMM)
