Position Title Engineering Technician (At-Sea Duty)

AECOM is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our MATSS Team at Pearl Harbor.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Engineering Technician will be responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance and installation of the of the mechanical systems on the Mobile At-Sea Sensor Support vessel and be located full-time on Oahu, Hawaii.
Technician performs standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations, follows standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments.
Tasks include following specific instructions to assemble, construct, or service equipment or parts.
When mechanical work is not required the individuals shall perform deck work as directed, as well as preservation, cleaning, maintenance, fabrication, upgrade/expansion, and repair duties.
Additional duties shall include riding the MATSS vessel during all at-sea missions to participate in all at-sea Contractor operations including performing deck and rigging tasks, cooking, cleaning, conducting rounds, standing watch, participating in fast boat rescue and firefight\ing operations, and performing emergency repairs.
Six (6) years of relevant work experience or graduated from a technical school with four years of relevant work experience.
Relevant work experience should include at-sea vessel operations (deck, rigging and line handling tasks, cooking, cleaning, conducting rounds, standing watch, participating in fast boat rescue and firefighting operations, and performing emergency repairs.
In port operations includes rigging, crane, forklift, man-lift operations and maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, upgrades, fabrication, installation, operational and testing support of HM&E systems.
Demonstrate familiarity with metal and wood working equipment, welding, cutting, pipefitting and corrosion control.
Training and certifications in firefighting, ship damage control, rigging, crane, forklift, man-lift operation, fast boat rescue operations, first aid, automatic external defibrillators, CPR, and sanitary food service.
Must be U.S. citizen
