Position Title HSE Manager, Theme Park
China - Guangdong Province
Review the preparation of the safety plan including, policies, procedures, staffing and reporting systems in coordination with the client, contractors, government, vendors and operators.
Monitor the main contractor’s performance of those duties set out in its safety plan.
Oversee the contractor’s implementation of a Safety training and awareness program prior to its personnel being allowed on site.
Organize unscheduled inspections of the site with the contractor.
Assist Head of Construction in dealing with concerns and issues.
Respond to and participate in accident and incident investigations.
Procure and log all Incident and Accident reports from the contractor and maintain an ongoing dialog of constant improvement from lessons learned.
Comply with governmental and Employer’s requirements for accident reporting and record keeping.
Maintain a copy of applicable safety regulations on site.
Provide safety related statistics and narrative report for inclusion in the Monthly Report.
Develop a site-specific safety plan addressing conduct of PMC employees on the project.
Manage the contractor to conduct periodic inspections of site facilities, labor camps, offices, etc. for compliance with life safety requirements.
Assure that visitors who are brought on site by PMC comply with all applicable requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene or relevant field.
Minimum 10 years technical experience in HSE related positions.
Certification in safety related areas.
Prior work experience in a variety of technical areas including construction management, program management and design engineering and or building engineering industries with a multi-national, multi-disciplined firm is highly desirable.
Communication and training skills and experience are critical.
High level of analytical ability to develop solutions to challenging human, technical, and administrative problems.
Fluent English and Mandarin is required, Cantonese is a plus.
