AECOM Software Engineer in Greenwood Village, Colorado
United States of America - Colorado, Greenwood Village
AECOM is looking for a full-stack software engineer who is passionate about software development and learning new things. You’ll work alongside clients, subject matter experts, and fellow software engineers as you utilize leading edge application development technologies to design, implement, and maintain custom web, desktop, and mobile applications. A typical day includes code design and implementation, with forays into technology research, team brainstorming sessions, internal framework development, gaining subject matter knowledge, pair programming, consulting with clients, and assisting users.
Our Company, Our Team
As one of the largest architectural, engineering, environmental, and program management companies in the world, AECOM does just about everything. Our team of software engineers develops custom software solutions that allow clients and project teams to define, collect, manage, visualize, and analyze their data. We collaborate with teams throughout the company and around the world. We support projects ranging in size from multi-year, $10 billion efforts affecting millions of people, to modest internal tasks requiring a few hours to complete.
Our team has significant flexibility in choosing the projects we work on and the technology stack we use. In turn, we are able to remain on the forefront of development trends by continually refining our best practices, tools, and skillsets. We are constantly gaining new knowledge in order to support the wide diversity of projects we work on; including air emission calculations, environmental remediation, disaster response, chemical sampling, flood mapping, and city-wide transportation asset management.
If you want to work in a narrowly defined role on a single application for years at a time, our team won’t be a good fit. If you like the idea of continual progress through successively more interesting design and implementation challenges and developing elegantly functional applications that solve real-world problems, reach out and let us know.
