The Water Business Unit of AECOM is actively seeking a Water Resources H&H Engineer in our Greenwood Village, CO office near DENVER, CO. An expert in water resources and civil infrastructure design, for immediate employment. This individual will be a creative, highly talented technical leader responsible for the oversight, management and business development of large, complex local, state, and federal projects including flood control, drainage, dam, levee, and other water resources planning and design projects.
Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Prepares technical specification sections.
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
BA/BS + 6 YORE or AA/AS (US) + 8 YORE or Diploma/Certificate (Canada) + 8 YORE or HS/GED + 10 YORE
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources Management or Geotechnical Engineering or related
Professional Engineer (P.E. with 12+ years of experience relevant water resources project
Experience in presenting projects to local government bodies and committees
Experience in presenting projects at public information meetings and public involvement.
Experience with project management requirements and systems
Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources Management or Geotechnical Engineering or related field
10+ years of proven Project Management experience of Federal Flood Control, Dams & Levees
Experience or interest in business operations and internal finance
Knowledge of water quality modeling and water quantity modeling (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, XPSWMM, Mike Urban, HydroCAD, GIS and CAD software)
