Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Estimator II or an Estimator III to be based in our Greenwood Village, Colorado location.

Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:

  • Introduced to the Company estimating systems and processes.

  • Introduced to estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles for preparing estimates.

  • Exposed to various processes, project actions and assumptions that may impact estimates.

  • Gathers, calculates and compiles data for use in developing all types of estimates.

  • Performs the routine aspects of estimating assignments.

  • Assists senior specialists in performing various estimating functions as required.

  • Exposed to drawings, specifications, work breakdown structures, charts of accounts, published and internal data used in preparing estimates.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements for an Estimator II:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and related experience.

Experience:

  • Entrants to this position require 1 year of experience in the estimating function in the Engineering and/or Construction Industry.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Minimum Requirements for an Estimator III:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and related experience.

Experience:

  • Entrants to this position require 2 years of experience in the estimating function in the Engineering and/or Construction Industry.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

  • Previous Internship/Experience in a Heavy Civil Construction Environment.

  • Experience with Material Takeoffs.

  • Experience with Agtek Software.

  • Experience with Autocad.

  • Experience with HCSS Heavybid.
