AECOM’s Multimodal Department is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Transportation/Transit Planner for immediate employment in the Denver, Colorado office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an educational and career path in transit or transportation planning, with proven experience of contributing to planning efforts and other related projects. The ideal candidates will demonstrate an ability to be highly organized, work well independently and with teams, and the ability to communicate clearly. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Collect, organize, and manage data to conduct planning studies
Utilize GIS and other tools including Microsoft Office programs to provide data-driven analysis for planning studies
Respond to questions and requests from project team members, clients, and other stakeholders
Participate in meetings with clients, members of the public, and other stakeholders
This position may require travel
2+ years of relevant work experience
Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Geography, Environmental Studies, Transportation Studies, or related field or demonstrated combination of education, skills, knowledge, ability and experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing
Creative problem-solving skills to gather relevant information to solve transportation planning-related issues and challenges
Knowledge of the principles and practices of planning, research and data collection
Due to the nature of this position, US Citizenship is required
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Working knowledge of GIS and graphics programs (Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp)
Demonstration of educational and career path in transit or transportation planning, with proven experience of contributing to planning efforts and other related assignments
Familiarity with transportation and multimodal planning principles
