Contingent on award of contract, AECOM is seeking a CMMS Specialist for our nationwide maintenance operation within a major manufacturer in South Carolina.
Typical work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm; hours may vary based on business demand.
This work involves physical examination of buildings, facilities, and equipment to capture asset data, and will require walking long distances, climbing ladders, kneeling, bending, and stooping in an industrial environment.
Hiring bonus may be available to qualified candidates outside of the commuting area.
The CMMS Specialist supports the AECOM Maximo system and administration and work management mobile app to meet internal and external client expectations within set timeframes.
A key component of our work processes is the Maximo Enterprise Asset Management System (EAM), a work management system that utilizes work and asset management system technology to maximize the performance of our process and maintenance workforce.
Maintenance technicians in the field use the AECOM mobile app to complete their work in a connected or disconnected mode.
A separate business intelligence analytic tool is used to generate live reports and dashboards.
This position plays a major role in end-user support, ongoing development, version upgrades, and the implementation and support of Maximo 7.6 series. Knowledge of SAP PM Computerized Maintenance Management module is a plus.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage Maximo EAM System and configuration modules.
Monitor Maximo EAM System performance; troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
Leverage familiarity with Maximo database schema.
Database development and administration.
Knowledge of SQL (select statements, where clauses, etc), script writing and programming concepts.
Understanding of maintenance work order management processes as they relate to Maximo.
Administration functions of adding, modifying and granting access to Maximo EAM System.
Use Maximo BIRT Reporting Tools and Data Analytics to create live dashboards and monthly KPI metrics as per clients’ requirements.
Develop, modify, and maintain multiple Maximo Start Centers
Make basic modifications to Maximo EAM System screens using a screen editor on demand.
Communicate and collaborate with clients’ internal and external IT personnel in order to address IT related issues when using clients’ systems.
Archive and restore data; support and maintain Maximo EAM System reports; run queries and create ad hoc reports.
Support all Maximo environments, including testing, development, pre-prod, training and production.
Direct, implement and support Maximo EAM System Upgrade Projects.
Identify and communicate Maximo EAM System defects to hosting partners and/or IT and serve as liaison between hosting partners and Maximo EAM System Users to resolve issues.
Work with internal and external IT to apply, test and verify fixes/patches to Maximo EAM System.
Use consulting skills, business knowledge and packaged solution experience to effectively provide solutions to our client’s requirement for information.
Support the Maximo mobile application and interact with remote users using the mobile app. Install the mobile software to devices and provide documentation on how additional devices are to be configured.
Implement training standards across the enterprise as well as training materials for Maximo and mobile users.

Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience -OR- 8 years of experience in industrial Facilities or Production Maintenance related work will be considered demonstrated equivalent in experience with no college education.
Proficiency in Maximo.
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday.
Requires the ability to climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at times.
Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, kneel, and squat at times.
Requires ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.
Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access data bases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents.
Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other AECOM, customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations.
Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings and presentations.
Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.
Requires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations.
Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
Strong technical background in facility or industrial maintenance, especially in maintenance Planning/Scheduling in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Extensive experience in maintenance asset management support, understanding asset naming conventions, and maintenance system integration using industry standards such as BOMA.
Extensive experience in querying, developing reports, and general functionality within a Computerized Maintenance Management System, such as Maximo or SAP.
Five years of experience of related experience with IBM Maximo Software Products Version 7.
Clear understanding of Maximo EAM from user point of view; ability to administer and configure EAM database and applications, including implementation, security setup, maintenance, deployment, upgrade and customization.
Working knowledge of enterprise asset and work management processes; Oracle database and SQL script.
Experience in application support/user help desks for 500+ users at different locations across the world.
Strong PC skills, Microsoft Office applications; demonstrated experience working with data base applications
Experience in Site Start-up activity is a plus
- Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends.
