Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a creative, highly talented Professional in their Global Business Services (GBS) unit for immediate employment in the Glen Allen, VA or Austin, Texas location. The primary responsibility of this position will be to drive improved performance in the Order to Cash processes, systems, organization and culture with a primary focus on the billing operation. This will include developing solutions to current challenges and issues with the ultimate goal of reducing DSO and the cash life cycle. The candidate will be expected to manage medium to large projects and deliver on agreed deadlines.

Job Description

  • Work closely with the GBS Billing department to identify opportunities for positive performance improvement in processes, organization, systems and tools

  • Attend conferences and benchmark with other industry leaders to identify best/better practices that would enable movement of the AECOM Billing department toward upper quartiles and eventually world class. Prioritize largest impact projects

  • Plan, direct and execute all project activities to ensure project goals and objectives are established and have been met within the timeframe and funding parameters

  • Plan and facilitate the documentation of all business process workflows and ensure third party has current versions

  • Work with Internal audit and Controllers group to update and maintain narratives for the department

  • Review Continuous Business Improvement (CBI) portal submissions for Order-to-Cash suggestions and prioritize those with greatest value. Respond to all submissions

  • Create project reports to distribute to senior management on current activities and progress

  • Work with business process tower leads to coordinate changes with other geos

  • Overall responsibility for Billing metrics on efficiency, effectiveness, accuracy and timeliness with goal to improve by 10% annually

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years’ relevant work experience with proven track record in driving change in previous assignments.

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management

  • Strong technical skills

  • Has worked in a shared services organization and familiar with Shared Services concepts

  • Experience in Oracle and Billing systems

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyze business processes and workflows

  • Moderate skills in Process Mapping and Business Process Reengineering

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and oral and written communication skills throughout all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • CAPM certification

  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certified

  • Strong skills in Process Mapping and Business Process Reengineering

  • Experience with project management, organizational change management, and driving innovation and improvement through the use of technological and other enhancements

  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge of project management and process improvement methodologies including Lean Six Sigma, and experience managing business projects establishing a strong continuous improvement culture

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to extensively analyze business processes and workflows

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and oral and written communication skills throughout all levels of the organization

  • Self-starter, with the desire and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Effective time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize competing demands

  • Ability to effectively direct, collaborate with and work through others

  • Experience with change management is desirable

  • Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts and practices is desirable
