AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Software Developer for immediate employment in the Germantown, MD office. The successful candidate will support the Technology Solutions Department in planning, developing and maintaining customer-specific application development projects (web, desktop and mobile). This is a client interfacing position and the ideal candidate will not only develop software, but have the ability to successfully present the software to our internal and external clients.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Work with senior technology solutions team members to assist with the development of a wide variety of software solutions (web, desktop and/or mobile)
Collaborate with team to develop best solution for given requirements, budget and time constraints
Develop software solutions on time and within budget
Provide technical support to work on all application tiers
Assist with coordination and troubleshooting of previously developed software
Research and recommend new technologies that could benefit the team
High School Diploma
2+ years of related experience
Ability to translate and develop final application prototypes into production-ready code
Knowledge of relational databases including SQL Server, MS Access, Oracle and open source tool sets
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Collaborate with other developers, testers, managers and clients (internal and external)
Excellent verbal and written skills
Position requires attention to detail and the ability to quality check all deliverables for internal and external clients. Successful candidate must be a team player, committed to meeting team and client schedules, and able to work productively on several high profile projects at once
Due to the nature of the work, this position requires that you are a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Experience with PHP and knowledge of open source data analysis and content management tools
Familiarity with SharePoint development and implementation
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends and emerging technologies
Familiarity with iOS and/or Android application development
