AECOM CMS Software Developer in Germantown, Maryland

The successful candidate will support the Technology Solutions Department in planning, implementing and maintaining customer-specific content management system (CMS) development projects.
Build and maintain a variety of open source content management sites including but not limited to WordPress
Write and maintain custom plugins and themes
Implement layouts/pages based on mockups
Work with project managers and teams to deliver high quality products and adhere to timelines.
Ability to provide user friendly site administration, documentation, and guidance to all levels of project team.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to complete projects.
High School Diploma or equivalent required
2 years minimum experience developing CMS sites using WordPress and/or other open source PHP based CMS systems or the educational equivalent or a mix therof.
Demonstrated attention to detail
Understanding of MySQL database platform
Experience building custom themes, plugins, widgets, WordPress filters, etc.
Experience using version control software
Willingness and desire to learn new techniques and technologies
Bachelors Degree in related field
Demonstrated working knowledge of CSS pre-processors such as compilers SASS/LESS
Drupal/Joomla CMS experience
Experience with an agile or semi-agile workflow
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends and emerging technologies.
