Job Summary

The successful candidate will support the Technology Solutions Department in planning, implementing and maintaining customer-specific content management system (CMS) development projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain a variety of open source content management sites including but not limited to WordPress

  • Write and maintain custom plugins and themes

  • Implement layouts/pages based on mockups

  • Work with project managers and teams to deliver high quality products and adhere to timelines.

  • Ability to provide user friendly site administration, documentation, and guidance to all levels of project team.

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to complete projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • 2 years minimum experience developing CMS sites using WordPress and/or other open source PHP based CMS systems or the educational equivalent or a mix therof.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap and Responsive Design

  • Demonstrated attention to detail

  • Understanding of MySQL database platform

  • Experience building custom themes, plugins, widgets, WordPress filters, etc.

  • Experience using version control software

  • Willingness and desire to learn new techniques and technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related field

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of CSS pre-processors such as compilers SASS/LESS

  • Drupal/Joomla CMS experience

  • Experience with an agile or semi-agile workflow

  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends and emerging technologies.
