Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a I&C Consulting Engineer III to be based in our Ft. Mill, South Carolina location.

Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will be working with a team of I&C Engineers and Designers on nuclear power projects being executed in the Ft Mill and Warrenville offices; candidate will be responsible for job schedule; budget; change control; overall technical execution for the discipline; will be expected to interface with Project Management, the discipline Chief Engineer and other discipline personnel on a daily basis,

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent education in Mechanical, Electrical or Control Systems Engineering from a four year accredited college or university. Master of Science or Doctorate in speciality of discipline preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in I&C engineering and design, 8 years of which must be in nuclear engineering and design;

  • Experience leading large digital I&C modifications such as Turbine Control Systems and Feedwater Control System upgrades;

  • Candidate shall have an advanced level of specialized engineering knowledge within the I&C discipline, have digital licensing experience such as digital 50.59 evaluations and have a basic understanding of other disciplines;

  • Fully versed in business development concepts, can prepare and check required discipline calculations, write specifications, develop data sheets and shall prepare requisitions for purchase and review proposals and bids and understand material management;

  • Candidate must have the ability to clearly communicate with clients and vendors;

  • Able to develop workhour planning, schedules and scope of work documents;

  • Must understand change control process.

  • Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Westinghouse nuclear experience a plus; has proven ability to train and mentor early career individuals.

  • PE License Preferred

  • Nuclear Modification experience with Duke Energy

Additional Information:
