AECOM Senior Radio Frequency Engineer in Ft. Meade, Maryland

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking engineers with 10+ years of experience in applying Radio Frequency (RF) engineering principals to support analysis and process support for legacy and emerging spectrum dependent technologies and project management experience. Position requires understanding of a wide variety of spectrum dependent systems including radars, communications, data links, and SATCOM.

Responsibilities will include technical review of emerging spectrum technologies, coordination and deconfliction of

Navy operations in dense electromagnetic environments, development and review of policies and procedures, and finally coordination both nationally and internationally. Role will focus on leading a team to capture and update legacy Navy system technical characteristics into modern databases.

Minimum Requirements

Possess an engineering degree from an accredited university or college

10+ years’ experience with applying the principles of the performance of the Radio Frequency Engineering analysis.

Requires Secret clearance

Must be U.S Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of either the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) or the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) system certification process.

  • Knowledge of any of the following software: Spectrum Certification System (SCS), Equipment Location Certification Information database (EL-CID), Spectrum XXI, Host Nation Spectrum Worldwide Database Online (HNSWDO), or Stepstone.

  • Technical Leadership.

  • Experience with Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) equipment or standards.

  • World Radio Conference Support.

  • Development of Spectrum related standards and policies.
