AECOM Aircraft Mechanic 1, Sheet Metal in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky

1) Fabricate, disassemble, assess, repair, overhaul, modify and re-assemble aircraft sheet metal and structures, tooling, fixtures or assemblies from blueprints, engineering drawings and aircraft structure repair manuals.
2) Assemble aircraft components using structural adhesives, rivets and threaded fasteners. Perform composite repairs including but not limited to fiberglass and Kevlar.
3) Applies technical expertise in troubleshooting aircraft systems and subsystems using special tools and test equipment as required.
4) Interprets technical data including technical manuals, maintenance information and action messages, and technical guidance provided through government representatives.
5) Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
Training – Will conduct classroom and hands on training on all topics/subjects related to the program. Professional speaking or prior instructor experience is desired.

High School Graduate or equivalent required.
Three (3) years required.
Thorough knowledge of aviation structural repair requirements and techniques.
Understanding of Reset schedules and timelines.
Detailed knowledge of job specific tooling.
Able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
Basic knowledge of the Unit Level Logistics System (ULLS-A).
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
Must be able to obtain a NACI and a CAC for network computer access.
- Five (5) or more years experience in aircraft structure repair desired
