Position Title Environmental Project Engineer

The Environmental Project Engineer/Project Manager serves as the PE of Record, for the administrative, technical management and completion of multi-disciplinary projects. The position supports clients from the development of regulatory compliance strategies, to the development and preparation of project specific plans and reports.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Apply engineering principles, practices, and technologies to develop solutions for petrochemical clients
Identify opportunities and participate in business development activities, including planning, scheduling, client relations, marketing, proposal preparation and presentations.
Manage and monitor projects identifying and addressing financial, safety and liability issues, as well as to ensure quality completion on schedule.
Identify when project requirements exceed available technical skills or manpower capacity and develop a plan of action with next level management to seek help from other work units, hire new staff, and/or subcontract work, etc.
Provide environmental compliance monitoring, including design, execution, coordination, and technical oversight
Support clients with regulatory interpretation, representation, by staying informed of changes to environmental regulations, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on the client.
Establish, promote, and ensure quality on all projects and work performance.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental) or a related field or equivalent combination of work experience
10+ years Environmental Consulting Project Management experience
3 years of experience working in the Petrochemical Industry
Current valid Professional Engineer license
Proficient in MS Office products
Certified Project Manager
PE License in the state of Texas preferred
40 – Hour HAZWOPER or 8 – Hour HAZWOPER Annual Refresher Course

Must possess or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
Per diem benefits are not available for this position
Requires enrollment in the medical monitoring program requiring initial and annual physicals.
Must possess valid Driver’s license.
Ability to travel domestically to client sites 10% of the time.
