AECOM Civil / Transportation Engineer in Franklin, Tennessee

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated mid-level civil and or transportation engineer to join our team in the Nashville area (Cool Springs).

Project types include a wide variety of disciplines including roadway design, transportation and multi-modal planning, transit planning and design, traffic signals, safety audits, bridges, railroads, and others. Projects also include general civil infrastructure type projects for multiple states, local and federal government agencies across the entire region from Florida to the Metro Washington DC area. This is an outstanding opportunity for motivated individuals that are interested in a broad variety of clients, project types and alternative delivery strategies.

It is also an opportunity to work collaboratively with others within the southeast region transportation business line which consists of 1800 employees across 8 different states in particular as well as nationally and globally in certain instances.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors in Civil Engineering or 2+ years of demonstrated engineering equivalency or related engineering experience

  • Experience with designs and plans production for transportation/ civil infrastructure projects including calculations

  • Prior experience designing roadways for transportation projects

  • Experience and ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of work problems

  • Must be able to communicate effectively; verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in design of roadway geometrics and plans prepared in compliance with TDOT standards

  • Experience in the following software: Civil 3D, Geopak, Inroads, Corridor Modeling, Autoturn, Microstation or other equivalent CAD software​
