The Water Business of AECOM is actively seeking a Program Manager - Water Resources, who is an expert in stormwater, drainage, and floodplain management for immediate employment in either our Fort Worth or Dallas offices in Texas. This individual should be a creative, highly talented engineer who will provide business development leadership along with technical and management oversight for a group of professionals in a team setting; the technical emphasis of the group is stormwater, drainage, floodplain management, and other water resources projects.
The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established drainage and floodplain-oriented career, with strong client contacts and relationships, especially among local, State, and Federal water resources clients across Texas.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Leadership and/or participation in business development activities
Professional development of team personnel
Developing and nurturing the strategic direction of the team
Acts as primary point of contact with clients and has full responsibility for project delivery
Plans, directs, and supervises operations included in a large, complex project or several moderately sized projects
Performs independent technical reviews of engineering reports and designs
May be responsible for Project teams that include 10 or more members often representing multiple business lines
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, from a ABET-accredited institution
10+ years of experience in the evaluation, planning, design and construction of stormwater and other water resource facilities, including project analysis, feasibility and budgeting
Professional Engineering License or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire
Must have experience in client service and business development
Must have strong technical progression within engineering for local, state and/or federal government contracts, as well as civil clients within the private sector
This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
Master’s degree in Engineering
20+ years of progressive experience within the water resources field
Personnel management, mentoring, leadership skills
Leadership experience in proposal preparation

Must possess a valid driver's license
