Job Summary

The Water Business of AECOM is actively seeking a Program Manager - Water Resources, who is an expert in stormwater, drainage, and floodplain management for immediate employment in either our Fort Worth or Dallas offices in Texas. This individual should be a creative, highly talented engineer who will provide business development leadership along with technical and management oversight for a group of professionals in a team setting; the technical emphasis of the group is stormwater, drainage, floodplain management, and other water resources projects.

The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established drainage and floodplain-oriented career, with strong client contacts and relationships, especially among local, State, and Federal water resources clients across Texas.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Leadership and/or participation in business development activities

  • Professional development of team personnel

  • Developing and nurturing the strategic direction of the team

  • Acts as primary point of contact with clients and has full responsibility for project delivery

  • Plans, directs, and supervises operations included in a large, complex project or several moderately sized projects

  • Performs independent technical reviews of engineering reports and designs

  • May be responsible for Project teams that include 10 or more members often representing multiple business lines

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, from a ABET-accredited institution

  • 10+ years of experience in the evaluation, planning, design and construction of stormwater and other water resource facilities, including project analysis, feasibility and budgeting

  • Professional Engineering License or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months of hire

  • Must have experience in client service and business development

  • Must have strong technical progression within engineering for local, state and/or federal government contracts, as well as civil clients within the private sector

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering

  • 20+ years of progressive experience within the water resources field

  • Personnel management, mentoring, leadership skills

  • Leadership experience in proposal preparation
