Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Turnaround Scheduler for our CNRL Horizon Project. This is a temporary positon on a 10/4 rotation.

The Turnaround Scheduler interprets construction bid documents and technical drawings to identify engineering specifications, and coordinate with client scheduler to integrate vendor / subcontractor schedules into Master schedule; shop schedule; and also integrate owner supplied material and milestones into master turnaround schedule. Also assists senior scheduler in setting-up schedules, updating progress and actuals; and generating schedule deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and report to Construction Management all related highlights of Construction Schedule.

  • Update and Maintain overall project schedule including other subcontractors activities within the schedule.

  • Capture schedule delays and find root cause, also come up with the schedule recovery plan.

  • Analyze the material delivery delay impact on the schedule.

  • Prepare schedules by discipline as requested by Construction Manager and Superintendents and Workface Planners.

  • Collaborate with procurement team for material deliveries and enter material expediting dates into schedule.

  • Develop resource loaded graphs and resources analysis for the purpose of project man power needs.

  • Produce week look-ahead schedules and be involved in weekly schedule meeting with WFP and Construction staff.

  • Load approved definitive hours, Contract Change Proposal hours and trend hours into schedule.

  • Assist in preparing critical path schedule and identify any schedule slippage, and notify to management to take mitigation plan.

  • Integrate change orders or additional work in existing schedule and revise the manpower graphs accordingly.

  • Setting up small Project or Assist Senior Scheduler.

  • Setup Project in P6 to ensure Critical Path/Resource loaded Schedule.

  • Interface with estimating to set up WBS, Activities & Resources.

  • Interface with Project Management to define logic, duration.

  • Interface with Project Controls System to provide planned value.

  • Interface with SCM Interface to set up delivery dates.

  • Update progress % complete, actual start & completion dates.

  • Analyze Critical Path and What if scenarios and provide mitigation plans.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, business or related field, or demonstrated equivalent and related experience.

  • 4 years of experience in engineering, procurement and construction projects or operating industrial facilities in a planning and scheduling position.

  • Turnaround experience essential.
