Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking a Skilled Labourer to join our SUNCOR Firebag Turnaround project team on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a temporary position on a 6/1 shift rotation, unless otherwise specified.

Approximate duration: Temporary
Location: 120 km northeast of Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Travel: Charter flights provided from Calgary and Edmonton.
Accommodation: Camp accommodation will be provided to all workers
Overtime Eligibility: All craft will be eligible for overtime
CLAC Union agreement in place; with competitive rates
Labourers assist skilled trades people and perform a wide range of tasks at construction sites.
Responsibilities :
Cleaning of company vehicles and/or equipment.
Loading, unloading, identifying, and distributing materials and equipment.
Cleaning and preparation of construction components (Modules, Process equipment etc.).
Execute assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
Ask required questions and take the required direction to ensure work is accomplished safely.
Understand and follow AECOM’s safety management system and core values.
Maintain all company tools and equipment to the required standards.
Foster a cooperative and positive work atmosphere.

For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.
For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Alcohol & Drug (A&D) policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 3 years of related experience required
Previous maintenance services (i.e. turnaround, shutdown, outage) experience is required
Physical strength and stamina
Manual dexterity
Safety conscious attitude
Able to climb ladders, work at heights, carry up to 50 lbs
Able to perform rigging duties, bliding, and torquing
Safety tickets required :
Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or BSO
Construction safety ticket (CSTS 09 or 2020)
H2S Alive
First Aid
AWP
Fall Arrest
Other safety ticket(s) and orientation(s) required, as per the project team
Valid Class 5 driver’s license and a clean 3 years driver’s abstract.
Able to work night shift, if required
