Job Summary
AECOM is hiring Scaffolder Apprentices to join the CNRL Horizon project team on site. This is a temporary position, supporting the Spring Turnaround. Charter flights provided from Calgary, Edmonton and shuttle service from Fort McMurray. Site will provide camp lodging for all workers, with the option of locals to drive in and out.
Scaffolders provide safe and secure scaffold access. Scaffolders assemble, dismantle, modify system and tube and clamp scaffolds.
Scaffolder Apprentice will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:
Communicate effectively with both staff and supervision to ensure expectations are met
Demonstrate safe work practices in the industrial environment with knowledge of Task Hazard Assessments
Begin to understand assembling, dismantling and modifying System (Layer/Ring Lock) and Tube & Clamp scaffolds
Knowledge of isometric drawings an asset
Willing to learn new skills
Prioritize daily workload and manage materials efficiently

For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.
For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Alcohol & Drug (A&D) policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.
Minimum Requirements
Proof of hours (up to 1500 hours) upon request
Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020) or Petroleum Safety Training (PST)
OSSA Confined Space Entry (CSE)
OSSA Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection
Aerial Work Platform (AWP)
Valid Driver’s License
AOGCA1
Preferred Qualifications
Scaffold Certificate affiliation is preferred
Good mathematical, scientific, mechanical and logical reasoning abilities
