TAMS (an AECOM company) is seeking a Safety Advisor to join our CNRL Albian Team in Fort McMurray, AB. This is a temporary position to support our Spring Turnaround 2021 season. Shift rotation is 6 days on 1 day off .
Job Summary Includes:
Develops and manages SH&E programs for the company, business lines, regions, and/or clients.
Provides leadership and support to Operations to help the organization achieve SH&E goals and objectives.
Assists the business to meet regulatory requirements relating to specific SH&E obligations e.g. trained SH&E professionals in business/projects, officer duties, statutory reporting etc.
Under general supervision performs technical work in a wide range of environmental, health and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with SH&E standards along with federal and state regulatory requirements.
Exhibits knowledge and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of their environmental specialty.
Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs, systems and procedures.
Monitors and prevents hazards and diseases that could be found in the work area.
Investigates accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace.

For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Alcohol & Drug (A&D) policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.
Bachelor’s Degree + 2 Years of Experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020)
Other safety tickets and orientations, as per client / project team's requirement
This position will be required to drive a vehicle on behalf of AECOM and therefore will require the candidate to submit a satisfactory driver's abstract for review
Able to work night shift, if required
