Position Title Instrumentation Journeyman
Canada - Alberta
AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm is currently seeking a Journeyman Instrumentation to join the crew at IOL Kearl for a plant shutdown commensing May 15 - June 16.
The rotation is a 6/1 and the candidate will be hired on as an AECOM employee and not as a contractor.
May include the following responsibilities:
Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot and maintain instrumentation equipment on new or existing plant equipment
Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation and control equipment
Consult manufacturers' manuals to determine test and maintenance procedures
Use pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation, and diagnose faults
Consult with and advise process operators
Implement loss management practices
Repair, maintain and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts
Do risk assessments
Calibrate and maintain components and instruments according to manufacturers' specifications
Work with engineers on basic design
Install and maintain instruments on new or existing plant equipment and processes
Interpret and use appropriate CSA, ISA and API installation standards and practices
Alberta Certified Journeyman Instrumentation Technician or Inter-Provincial Red Seal
Construction Safety Training System Ticket (CSTS-09)
Standard First Aid Level C
Valid Driver’s license and driver abstract
Pass a Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test
Minimum of 4- 5 years’ experience in an Industrial Maintenance role
Experience working and executing maintenance in a live Plant
Team Player dedicated to delivering results

Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
Personal Management Skills
Read diagrams, schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
