AECOM Light-Duty Mechanic Journeyman in Fort McKay, Alberta

AECOM is currently seeking a Light-Duty Mechanic Journeyman to join the Imperial Oil Kearl Lake project team on site near Fort McKay, Alberta. This is a full-time steady state maintenance position on a 16/16 shift schedule.
The Light Duty Mechanic diagnoses equipment problems and determines repairs needed and demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes.
Fabricates, constructs, installs, and repairs equipment and machinery
Diagnoses equipment problems and determines repairs needed
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes
Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
Repairs, overhauls, maintains, and services diesel and gas powered vehicles
Repairs, overhauls, maintains and services fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, air conditioning systems, lubrication systems, engine control systems.
Practices workplace safety
Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
Determine extent of repair required
Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
Test repaired equipment for proper performance
Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
Service attachments and working tools
Analytical and problem solving skills
Decision making skills
Effective verbal and listening communications skills

Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020) Certification
First Aid – Standard Level Certification
- Red Seal preferred or required by provincial regulations and standards.
