AECOM GET Crew Labourer in Fort McKay, Alberta

Job Summary

AECOM is hiring a GET Crew Labourer to join our Imperial Oil Kearl project team on site near Fort McKay, Alberta. This is a Full-Time position on a 14 days on 14 days off schedule.

Labourers assist skilled trades people and perform a wide range of tasks at construction sites.

Labourers will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Clean company vehicles and/or equipment

  • Load, unload, identify, and distribute materials and equipment

  • Clean and prepare construction components (Modules, Process equipment etc.)

  • Execute assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner

  • Ask required questions and take the required direction to ensure that work is accomplished safely

  • Understand and follow AECOM’s safety management system and core values

  • Maintain all company tools and equipment to the required standards

  • Foster a cooperative and positive work atmosphere

Conditions of Employment for this position are:

  1. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.

  2. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Alcohol & Drug (A&D) policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of related experience

  • Previous construction experience

  • Physical strength and stamina

  • Manual dexterity

  • Safety conscious attitude

  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020) Certification

  • First Aid – Standard Level Certification

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and a clean 3 Year Driver's Abstract

  • Telehandler (Zoom Boom) experience is an asset.

  • Forklift Ticket

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience around heavy equipment is an asset.

  • Experience with Mining / Farming / Logging / Rig is an asset.
