Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking Equipment Operators (Zoom Boom) to join the Imperial Oil Kearl project team on site near Fort McKay, Alberta, to support the Spring 2021 Turnaround. This is a temporary position on a 6/1 shift schedule for the duration of the Turnaround.
Equipment Operators perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the operation of light, medium and heavy equipment and trucks. They are responsible for understanding and following all operating policy and procedures while operating equipment.
Equipment Operators will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:
Receives written and oral instructions from supervisor regarding materials to move or excavate
Demonstrates safe operation of all equipment
Reads and understands the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment
Properly maintains and services or has equipment serviced daily
Performs minor maintenance or clearing of tools and equipment
Properly operate a zoom boom.

For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.
For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Alcohol & Drug (A&D) policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.
Minimum Requirements
1 or more years of related experience
Able to operate a Zoom Boom
Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020) Certification
First Aid – Standard Level Certification
Fall Arrest
Confined Space
Other safety tickets or orientations, as requested by the client or project team
