Position Title Personal Property Office Supervisor

The Personal Property Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations of the Personal Property Operations (PPO) on Fort Campbell. This supervisor will manage Personal Property Processing and must be well versed with the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) and the Defense Transportation Regulation Part IV and personal property shipping entitlements, policy and procedures.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 15 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Procedure Compliance - Each employee must read, understand and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to his/her job.
Extensive experience required in automated personal property automation systems to include Defense Personal Property System (DPS) and Electronic Transportation Operation System (e-TOPS).
Experience with personal property counseling and claims procedures and familiarity with Direct Procurement Method, Non-temporary storage and local move shipment methods and procedures is required.
A minimum of two years general experience in business environment with accounting, distribution, manufacturing, supply, or transportation operation is required.
A minimum of two years specific experience operating computer based legacy systems, and other office computer programs, and input devices, which scan and upload inventory information.
Familiar with Government Property regulations to include, but not limited to:
FAR 45 – Government Property;
FAR 52.245-1 Government Property; DFARS Subpart 245 Government Property;
DFARS 252.245.7001 Tagging, Labeling, and Marking of Government-Furnished Property.
DFARS 252.245.7002 Reporting Loss of Government Property;
DFARS 252.245.7003 Contractor Property Management System Administration.
Must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
Possess a valid state issued driver’s license.
