Position Title Chemical Truck Operator

AECOM is seeking a Chemical Truck Operator to be based out of various locations in Alberta.
AECOM provides services to clients supporting the development of both conventional and unconventional resources in major oil and gas basins throughout North America. AECOM offers Industrial Services, using pressure, vacuum, chemical and mechanical methods to clean wells, sump pumps, vessels, exchangers and tanks, safety gathering and transporting waste materials to approved disposal sites. Reporting to the field coordinator or crew supervisor, and working with minimal supervision, this position requires professional driving experience and the ability to operate large motorized trucks and equipment safely and efficiently.
Job duties may include:
Operating Chemical pumping unit with Texsteam heater to circulate and clean various equipment in the oil and gas, pulp and paper, chemical and energy industries;
Transporting dangerous goods;
Performing pre and post trip inspections, keep record of logs, paperwork;
Maintaining all tools and equipment to the required standards;
Driving safely and professionally, obeying all traffic rules at all times;
Participating fully in job observations, near miss and HID reporting, site inspections, weekly and monthly safety meetings, and tailgate meetings;
Identifying and mitigating safety hazards;
Execute assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner
Ask required questions and take the required direction ensure that work is accomplished safely
Understand and follow AECOM’s safety management system and core values
Maintain all AECOM tools and equipment to the required standards
Drive safely and professionally, obeying all traffic rules at all times
Participate fully in such things as job observations, near miss and HID reporting, site inspections, weekly and monthly safety meetings, and tailgate meetings
Identify and mitigate safety hazards
Ensure all training is up-to-date and current
Understand and utilize the right and responsibility to stop unsafe work
Seek out continuous improvement opportunities

This position will be required to drive a vehicle on behalf of AECOM and therefore will require the candidate to submit a satisfactory driver's abstract for review.
LOA - Available
Minimum education requirements include completion of High School.
Minimum of 6 months experience on particular piece of equipment (more if work will be performed in sensitive areas).
A valid Class 1/A or 3/D driver’s license or equivalent is required.
Clean driver's abstract required;.
A minimum of one year of fluid haul driving and operating experience.
Must be able to read and write adequately for the purpose of completing regulatory paperwork.
Must be able to read maintenance manuals for the equipment.
May require Q (Air Brake) classification if vehicle warrants.
One year verifiable Tractor Trailer experience.
Air break endorsement is required for drivers who operate vehicles equipped with air brakes.
CSTS, H2S Alive and GODI certification preferred.
