Job Summary

We are looking for a new addition to join our building services team in our Dublin office, working as a Mechanical Engineer, to get involved on some major, exciting local and international projects.

A Mechanical Engineer will be involved in all aspects of design and specification of HVAC Systems as well as on site inspections and commissioning witnessing. The successful candidate will have proven design experience, delivering to quality, time and budget. This role will suit someone with a mechanical engineering / building services degree, who is enthusiastic, self motivated, and looking to advance their career.

Our Dublin MEP team has recently been involved in a number of exciting projects including;

  • National Treasury Management Agency Fit Out Dublin LandingsTrinity College Dublin – Upgrade works

  • Grangegorman School Development Dublin

  • Curragh Racecourse Redevelopment

You can also expect to work on Data Centre and Mission Critical work.

Job Responsibilities

  • Undertake calculations, Compile design reports, specifications, drawings and other Contract Documents required and ensure approval by Principal Engineer/Director.

  • Approve detailed design information and calculations.

  • Witness and accept testing and commissioning procedures for project plant equipment and systems.

  • Ensure compliance with all Statutory and Regulatory Authorities and obligations and make submissions and obtain approvals as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have the ability to design straight to screen in AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Able to obtain the necessary information both internally and externally from Architects, Quantity Surveyors and Design Consultants for the design to proceed.

  • A graduate in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, and with a proven track record of design experience.

  • Relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering design, including areas such as central plant and BMS/ controls specification.

  • A track record of having worked on a variety of Building Services designs covering for example, large scale Residential and Commercial projects.

  • Experience of seeing conceptual designs through to completion and dealing directly with clients and contractors.

  • A highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and ideally a member of a professional Institution

Preferred Qualifications

Chartered Status is preferred but not essential

Experience is Data Centre/Mission Critical along with experience in Building Services would be beneficial
