Position Title Entry Level Structural Engineer

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Structural Engineer for immediate employment for the Greenwood Village, CO office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Performs structural computations and analysis of hydraulic structures under the direct supervision of professional or experienced engineers
Under supervision of professional or experienced engineers, makes technical assumptions and thinks independently to complete assigned work
Prepares drawings and visual aids through coordination with CAD team
Conducts quantity calculations, prepares reports, and creates report figures
Performs assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and codes
Responsible for quality control of small tasks or segments of larger projects
Knowledge of structural engineering design of reinforced concrete, steel, and timber
Knowledge of statics, dynamics, and materials to understand and determine structural loads
Capable of functioning with spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software
Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering exam or successful completion within the first six months of employment
Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, STAAD, and ANSYS)
Understanding of hydraulic structures and seismic analysis
Prior knowledge of structural codes such as ACI 318, ACI 350, AISC Manual of Steel Construction, and ASCE 7
