AECOM Systems Engineer (Model Based Systems Engineering) in Dahlgren, Virginia

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide engineering support to the LCS Mission Module development effort. Efforts may include the following:

  1. Perform Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) by developing models to define system architecture baselines, develop requirements and define operational and design gaps

  2. Utilize modeling tools (e.g. Magic Draw, CORE) to develop and define and document requirements implementations on system baseline designs, interfaces and software/hardware architectures

  3. Perform analysis on design products to assess system design, analyze performance, assess system interdependencies of multiple systems and platforms.

  4. Apply DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) guidelines for the development of system views, operational views, and technical views to aid in system definition including development of JCIDS documentation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related scientific field and at least 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated experience using MBSE tools such as Magic Draw and/or CORE.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills to include the ability to articulate technical concepts to groups of peers, management or customer personnel.

  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment for resolution of solutions.
