Job Summary

Our Water team currently have a vacancy in our Croydon office for a

Senior CAD/BIM Modeller with experience of working on large infrastructure projects. AECOM are currently expanding their Water infrastructure engineering team in Croydon following several major project wins.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Modeller, specifically with the Revit Suite of software and will have extensive experience on a variety of infrastructure projects. You will have a proven level of experience of delivering projects to client’s satisfaction at the appropriate standard, ensuring accuracy of Models and Drawings, ensuring that the relevant codes and standards are complied with. You will have strong development skills and the ability to develop and manage the work of others if and when required. You will also have the technical ability, knowledge and competence to provide guidance and to teach others.

The Croydon office has an established track record of successfully delivering major projects. Our modern office in Croydon has good transport links and accommodates a multidisciplinary design centre. We are now looking to enhance and grow this team with individuals with a sound technical background and who share our enthusiasm and determination to support our expanding workload. The team is involved in projects in the UK, Europe and the Middle East with a variety of clients.

Our services offered to our clients include feasibility studies, scheme designs and detailed designs. Our clients are from the private and public sector and include Thames Water, Affinity Water, HS2, Network Rail, London Underground, TFL, Nexus, TfGM, Croydon Tramlink Our current portfolio of works comprises a diverse mix of local, national and international Rail infrastructure projects. There will also be a requirement to work in other AECOM offices from time to time.

  • Thames Tideway

  • Deephams STW

  • HS2 Line of Route West

  • Transport for London (TfL) Tramlink Twin Tracking, Croydon to Wimbledon

  • Tfl – Tramlink Extension to Sutton

  • Wimbledon Bogie Drop

  • Neasdon Depot Upgrade

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create Models and Drawings as part of a project team or perform in a lead role as appropriate

  • Manage the workload and technical management of a small team as required

  • Undertake Health & Safety duties including ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for the project team members and fulfilling all responsibilities for health and safety in design

  • Identify data and information required for projects

  • Deliver projects within timescale, budget constraints and quality expectations.

  • Determine the need for and attend project progress meetings

  • Communicate project’s critical issues in a timely manner to the relevant project manager

  • Work within financial and programme constraints

  • Review internal processes for effectiveness and efficiency and suggest possible areas for improvement where necessary

Minimum Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience on a variety of infrastructure projects

  • A working knowledge of ProjectWise; MicroStation; AECOsim Building Designer; Bentley Rebar; Autodesk Civil 3D; Revit; AutoCAD

  • Excellent communication and time management skills
