AECOM Turnaround / Maintenance Planner in Conklin, Alberta

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Turnaround / Maintenance Planner to join our team at our CNRL Horizon Project. This is a Full-Time position on a 7 day on 7 day off rotation.

  • This is a safety sensitive position

  • Shift schedule: 7x7 Starting Wednesdays

As a TA/Maintenance Planner, you are a key member of the Planning team. You will contribute to the overall success of the site by keeping projects on time with realistic and achievable planning initiatives. In this role you will participate in the overall development of the site maintenance plan while ensuring that all maintenance planning activities support the wider business needs of operations. You will provide input and continuous improvement of the maintenance, planning, scheduling and data integrity processes and standards and participate in the development of the maintenance plans. You will also assist in managing preventive maintenance processes.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage assigned work orders (WO), backlog by priority and finish dates as well as define and prepare work packages for mechanical jobs in process units

  • Perform detailed planning, scheduling, resource estimation, allocation and report progress and performance in complex process plant

  • Provide quality and fit for purpose job plans in a timely manner and scope out each through discussions or meetings with relevant stakeholders

  • Be involved in routine/forced outages and scope of work creation and maintain work orders to provide integrity of history tracking and maintenance repair costs data. Coordinate with the maintenance team, engineering support and operations to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities and development of ongoing improvements

  • Assist the Supply Chain Management group with initiatives for inventory reduction and control through reclassifying and cataloging of material in the CMMS

  • Integrate the safety reviews of the work packages involving all disciplines and maintain accurate records and documentation

Conditions of Employment for this position are:

  1. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Energy, Operations and Maintenance Background Check policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Energy, Operations and Maintenance Alcohol & Drug (A&D) policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - EOM Business Unit.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • Minimum 4 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education

  • Related industry experience with inter-provincial red seal (i.e. Millwright, Pipefitter, Electrician and/or Instrumentation) or technologist certification is required

  • Maintenance planning experience in an industrial plant setting

  • Experience with planning, budgeting and estimation

  • Strong computer skills : Maximo or equivalent CMMS; Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Project/Primavera

  • Strong collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups

  • Construction Safety Ticket (CSTS-09 or 2020)

  • Any other orientations, trainings, and tickets, requested by the client or project team

  • This position will be required to drive a vehicle on behalf of AECOM and therefore will require the candidate to submit a satisfactory driver's abstract for review.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Planning certification and Lean Six Sigma certification would be an asset

  • Previous workface planning and/or project controls experience is an asset

  • Excel Intermediate to advanced skills

  • SAP/Oracle/Maximo experience in maintenance/turnaround planning is an asset
