Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Rig Welder, B-Pressure to be based in Christina Lake, Alberta.

This position will join or sever metals in beams, girders, vessels, piping and other metal components, make metal parts used in construction and manufacturing plants, and weld parts, tools, machines and equipment.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Weld pipe for steel pipelines and/or steel pressure piping for facilities

  • Develop patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints and work orders.

  • Clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch.

Minimum Requirements

  • Journeyman Certification required- Red Seal preferred or required by provincial regulations and standards.

  • Alberta B Pressure ticket or equivalent if from another province.

  • A valid Class 1 or Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract are requirements of this position.

  • Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) Certification required.

  • H2S Alive Certification required.

  • Fall Arrest Certification required.

  • AWP - Aerial Work Platform Certification required.

  • First Aid - Standard Level C Certification required.

  • Must have experience working in CPF.

  • CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau), F3/F4, and F5/F6 tickets required.

  • Experience welding/fitting large and small bore piping.
