The Corporate practice, part of AECOM's Building+Places, is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Interior Designer or Interior Architect to join our Chicago, IL team.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
As part of a team under the direction of a Project Manager, Senior Designer, or Project Architect, create and develop design and technical solutions that respond to the needs of our Corporate clients. This includes developing, adapting or modifying design features and details.
Prepare designs, renderings, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings to illustrate design solutions.
Develop your skill in space programming.
Develop and document details to communicate design intent.
Assist in the selection of architectural finishes, furniture, and furniture finishes, and become fluent with furniture specifications.
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
2+ years of related experience
Developing knowledge of architectural and interior products and systems.
Intermediate design and production skills, including design and document production and standard construction techniques.
Fluency with Revit Architecture software. Knowledge of 3D computer modeling software, including SketchUp, Rhino, or similar programs is important, along with basic Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft office capabilities.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Candidates must provide a portfolio or work samples with their application
Corporate Workplace experience desired.
Working knowledge of all phases and aspects of Corporate Workplace projects.
Sustainability, resiliency and/or climate adaptation experience a plus, as are LEED credentials.
