Our multidisciplinary Chesterfield office is located within easy commuting distance of the vibrant cities of Sheffield, Nottingham and Derby and on the fringe of the Peak District National Park. With the continued growth of our Chesterfield Water Team we have established a new satellite Water team from our Nottingham office. Our Water Team is involved in high profile infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas and we are working on a number of locally significant projects for the Environment Agency and Local Authorities.
As a result of our continued success and growth, we are seeking a
Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will manage a range of projects including flood risk management schemes, highway drainage schemes and Flood Risk Assessments working with both private and public sector clients.
You will work closely with our teams of engineers, hydraulic modellers, environmental scientists and technical specialists to manage the delivery of a wide range of flood risk management and drainage projects in the UK and overseas.
You will act as Project Manager for a portfolio of projects, supervising and managing the delivery of complex, multifaceted tasks and projects.
You will be supported by a network of Deputy Project Managers and will be expected to help those DPMs develop project management skills as their careers progress and the team grows further.
You will be supported through training in AECOMs Project Management systems and you will work closely with our clients, ensuring that we meet their needs and deliver excellent results.

To be successful in this role we would like to hear from candidates with the following;
Previous experience in the successful delivery of complex and challenging projects.
Proven track record of managing projects, delegating tasks and technical mentoring.
Successful commercial delivery of projects, including financial accountability, risk mitigation, programme management and change control.
Experience in preparing, delivering and winning tenders for new work.
Background in Project Management in a client-facing role, preferably using the NEC suite of contracts.
Ability to use internal project management systems to track and monitor project delivery.
Ability to manage multidisciplinary project teams, often located in different offices.
Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering or Environmental field.
Chartered, or nearing Chartership, with a relevant institution e.g. CIWEM or ICE
Experience of working for an Environment Agency WEM Consultant or Water Company Framework Consultant in a related role would be desirable
