AECOM Water/Wastewater Engineer III and Modeler in Chelmsford, Massachusetts

Job Summary

  • Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.

  • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.

  • Identifies discrepancies in results.

  • Provides guidance to entry level engineers.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental engineering with an emphasis in water/waste water required

  • 5+ years of experience

  • Ability to present and manipulate data in MS-Excel

  • Solid knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic concepts

  • PE or ability to get within 1 year of employment

  • Strong technical writing skills as well as strong communication skills

  • Relocation benefits are not provided for this position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Environmental engineering with an emphasis in water/waste water or hydraulics

  • Previous experience with H&H modeling (either professionally or through coursework)

  • Ability to manipulate and present data in database management software (Access, SQL Server, Oracle)

  • Programming skills in Visual Basic, Python, C++, MatLab

  • Willingness to travel

  • Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (EPANET, InfoWater, Fluent, FLOW3D, or other related software)
