AECOM Traffic Safety Analyst in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Summary

The candidate must be knowledgeable in traffic safety analysis, specifically with the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

Responsibilities Of The Position Include, But Not Limited To

  • Performing crash analyses

  • Drawing collision diagrams

  • Conducting field safety investigations

  • Analyzing crash patterns

  • Making safety improvement recommendations, and any other tasks or efforts pertaining to traffic safety.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience working on traffic safety projects

  • NCDOT or other DOT experience required

  • Understanding of NCDOT (or other DOT) guidelines / procedures / policies

  • Demonstrate communication skills required for client interaction

  • Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role

  • Familiar with MicroStation/AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, NCDOT Traffic Engineering Accident Analysis System (TEAAS)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

  • EIT or ability to obtain

  • Ability to scope / estimate simple and complex tasks

  • Track and manage task budgets and schedules

  • TEAAS Training Certification

  • Familiar with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and the Highway Safety Manual (HSM)
