AECOM Senior Financial Analyst in Chantilly, Virginia

Job Summary

We are actively seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team in Chantilly, VA. The successful candidate will play a key role supporting the company’s multi-billion-dollar Management Services Group.

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintain monthly and annual financial models used for forecasting and budgeting

  • Manage the functional support cost submission each month, maintaining a solid understanding of the underlying factors that drive our support cost structure

  • Prepare financial package and presentations for distribution on a regular basis

  • Play a key role in ensuring the overall integrity of the forecast in the financial planning system

  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses as required

  • Provide maintenance on reporting systems and tools where needed

  • Actively manage and ensure the integrity of the division’s current and forecasted backlog of work

  • Work alongside business development to understand the current pipeline and opportunities for future growth

  • Assist in creating and submitting the annual operating plan

  • Provide support for new and ongoing departmental strategic initiatives

  • Work with Finance, Accounting, and Business Operations to understand business needs and translate them into process improvements

  • Work closely with Finance and non-Finance personnel to understand the current state of the business, performance variances, and opportunities and risks to future business success

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • US Citizen

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field

  • 2-4 years of experience in Finance or Accounting

  • Ability to create and maintain complex financial models in Microsoft Excel; understanding of advanced functions and pivot tables

  • A positive attitude towards change, including a proven willingness to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive further efficiency into the monthly cadence of work

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work across functions to achieve common goals

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment with a sense of urgency

  • Professional demeanor and team player with high degree of professional ethics

  • Proactive and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage change effectively

  • Familiarity with Costpoint, Hyperion Planning, and SmartView

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the government contracting industry a plus
