AECOM Program Manager in Chantilly, Virginia

Job Summary

This position is contingent upon contract award

The Program Manager will supervise and manage program activities in multiple disciplines covering technical and/or non-technical areas. Oversee the life support operations for various embassies in the Middle East. CONUS based position.

Essential Responsibilities:

1.Supervise, coach and lead work teams in the accomplishment of goals and tasks in support of specific programs.

2.Perform and supervise multi-disciplinary technical and/or non-technical tasks for applicable programs.

3.Interface with customers to determine specific needs and requirements.

4.Develop detailed staffing requirements, assignments and plans to meet customer needs.

5.Estimate personnel needs and schedule and assign work to meet completion dates.

6.Coordinate the investigation and resolution of operational problems in conjunction with other personnel.

7.Perform management level customer interface, including responsibility for contractual deliverables, development of responses to the Requests for Quotes and overall task execution.

8.Develop required technical and management documentation in support of customer technical and programmatic reviews.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • The country manager shall have a minimum of 10 years experience in related life support services and/or logistics management, with a minimum of 5 years experience in providing such services to large facilities or operations.

  • Position requires travel to embassy locations.

  • Must possess an active Secret clearance.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

  • Minimum High School diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate is former (retired) foreign service officer (FSO) or foreign service specialist (FSS) with at least 20 years of experience at posts in more than one geographic area either serving as a Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) for a mid-sized embassy or as the RSO at a large embassy in a high threat location.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
