AECOM Jr. Personnel Security Administrator in Chantilly, Virginia

United States of America - Virginia, Chantilly

Job Summary

This position is for a junior security administrator to partner with fellow security personnel professionals at our Chantilly, VA office. Individual must possess a working knowledge of the NISPOM and be skilled with JPAS, e-QIP and clearance processing.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Review and process security clearances

  • Conduct clearance checks

  • Process outgoing visit requests and certifications

  • Maintain the personnel security database

  • Prepare management reports as required

  • Prepare badges

  • Conduct fingerprints

Minimum Requirements

  • Secret Security clearance

  • Working knowledge of JPAS and e-QIP

  • High School Degree or GED with 2-3 years of personnel security experience

  • Knowledgeable in the use of JPAS, and e-QIP

  • Proficient in MSOffice and Excel

  • Solid command of the English language with strong written and verbal skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Ability to use discretion when handling sensitive personal information.

  • Characteristics necessary for success include: demonstrated strong interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task; skill in resolving problems impacting people, process and program issues; positive projection of presence through verbal and written communications and presentations; the ability to effectively influence individuals of varying backgrounds and learning styles; the ability to operate independently where appropriate, and an understanding as to when to escalate issues to higher appropriate levels for review, guidance and/or resolution; the ability to establish effective working relationships with peers, subordinates and superiors through contributions provided in team settings, working groups, and committees; ability to provide constructive feedback to employees and management at all levels.
