AECOM has an excellent opportunity for a Finance Student Intern supporting our Chantilly, VA office during the summer 2018 season. The Finance Intern will gain exposure to a wide variety of project financial activities in the Government contracting field and will handle a wide range of important duties including analysis and reporting of financial metrics (Revenue, profit, Days Sales Outstanding); analysis and review of financial results and key business drivers; assistance with the development of financial reporting ; help with accounts receivable analysis and project reconciliations; assistance with audits and working with the finance team on forecasting and planning efforts, and perform all duties in a safe manner - AECOM enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment. As appropriate, interns are responsible for completing all safety training requirements.
Currently in pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
Must possess organizational skills, and ability to perform detail-oriented work.
Self-motivated, possess analytical skills and be customer-oriented.
Effective communication, both verbal and written.
Familiarity with computer hardware and software; proficiency in MS Office Suite.
A university student with no more than two academic years remaining before earning a degree. These students are typically rising juniors or seniors.
- Previous experience with financial reporting, accounts receivable, AR or forecasting is preferred.
