AECOM has a great opportunity for a
Data Analytics Student Intern supporting our Business Development program in Chantilly, Virginia during the summer 2018 season. The selected candidate will be tasked with performing data analytics, statistical analysis, and modeling and simulations related to industry and government competitive intelligence and corporate/market financials; research and evaluate new and extant knowledge management software and hardware systems; research and evaluate the application of remote monitoring and data collection systems to collect asset information as it relates to the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, and enterprise artificial intelligence solutions; review the new business development pipeline and the associated financial and staffing requirements needed to win new business; perform data analysis and develop custom dashboards by using the Sitscape business intelligence tool utilized by AECOM; and complete all tasks in a safe manner - AECOM enforces a safety culture whereby all employees have the responsibility for continuously developing and maintaining a safe work environment. All interns will be responsible for completing all safety training requirements, as well as participating in the overarching internship program. Internship assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional responsibilities.
The Business Development intern will be supervised and coached by the Senior Vice President of Business Development and his appointees.
The Intern will be expected to work in the AECOM office a minimum of 8 hours within normal business hours.

AECOM can offer interns a fulltime position upon meeting the following:
Successful university graduation from an accredited degree track.
Successful performance as an intern.
Candidates must be a US citizen to apply for this summer internship position.
Currently in pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a Social Science featuring heavy quantitative processing.
A university student with no more than two academic years remaining before earning a degree. These students are typically rising juniors or rising seniors.
Capable of using spreadsheets, word processing and standard software.
Demonstrated ability to retrieve and export data from established proprietary databases and open access systems.
Familiarity with Tableau or MATLAB, and/or business tools such as Salesforce, Salesforce Lightning, or Sharepoint a plus.
Knowledge of and interest in applying data analytics to enterprise business, the industrial-government marketplace, and emerging technologies.
Keen to apply their skillsets towards helping the nation solve its critical infrastructure problems
