Job Summary

JW Williams, an AECOM company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to be based in our Casper, Wyoming facility.

The JW Williams Shop lays out, fits, and fabricates metal components to assemble structural forms, such as machinery frames, bridge parts, and pressure vessels, using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.

Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:

  • Under direct supervision, performs routine duties requiring knowledge of basic construction principles.

  • Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work.

  • Performs specific and limited portions of broader assignments.

  • Spends large percentage of time assisting the craft discipline journeymen.

Minimum Requirements


  • None required


  • Minimum of 3 years of related maintenance experience

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment

  • Previous experience troubleshooting and repairing AC and DC electrical circuits

  • Familiar with 480 volt 3 phase electrical circuits.

  • Proficient at troubleshooting and repairing equipment such as: overhead bridge cranes, welding machines, positioners, forklifts, turning rolls, plate rolls, paint equipment, hydraulic brakes and shears and other industrial related equipment.

  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or demonstrated equivalent.

  • Previous maintenance experience in a steel fabrication shop

Additional Information:

  • Relocation and per diem support are not available for this position.

  • Must be able to drive a company vehicle and have a clear MVR
