Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Estimator IV to be based in our Casper, WY location.


Individual incumbents may be responsible for cross-discipline application or may concentrate in one or more of the Estimating disciplines including Electrical, Architectural/Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Systems Control, Estimating cornerstone application analysis, etc.

  • Prepares or assists in the preparation of order of magnitude, preliminary, definitive, change orders and check estimates using appropriate methods and techniques.

  • Prepares equipment and material take-off.

  • Utilizes the appropriate company and industry historical data for costing estimates.

  • Prepares or assists in the preparation of project and discipline estimate summaries.

  • Prepares or assists in the preparation of the Basis of Estimate.

  • Participates in estimate reviews.

  • Establishes and maintains cost databases and product line specific parametric analysis tools.

  • Advanced level incumbents demonstrate soft skill attributes such as leadership, conflict resolution, team building and mentoring.

Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience


  • 3 years of related experience in the Oil & Gas Engineering or Oil & Gas Construction or Oil & Gas Fabrication / Manufacturing Industry

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office application, specifically Excel & Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Oil & Gas production equipment

  • Familiar with fabrication codes such as ASME Sec 8 Div 1, B31.3 & B31.8

  • Previous experience putting together structural bids

  • Previous experience putting together pipe spool bids

  • Familiar with shop assembled skid packages to include standard controls and instrumentation

  • Familiar with packaged and modular equipment

  • Previous experience using Pressure Vessel code calculation software, such as Compress

  • Previous experience estimating multiple projects simultaneously
