Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking a
Central Characterization Program (CCP) Project Manager/Vendor Project Manager to be based at our Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) location in Livermore, California.
The successful candidate will report to the CCP Operations Manager to ensure CCP waste characterization at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is executed in accordance with CCP programs and procedures. Ensures work is managed between CCP and TRU waste generators to achieve National TRU Program (NTP) goals and objectives. Manages schedules and budgets for assigned scope of work. Provides oversight of CCP operations personnel including conduct of operations leadership and expertise. Will coordinate and supervise deployment of CCP personnel and equipment.
Performs oversight (management assessments and observations) and develops and implements corrective actions for deficiencies identified during TRU waste certification audits and internal management assessments. Mentors team members and provides opportunities for professional development. The selected candidate must qualify as a CCP VPM after onboarding.
A location-specific increase of 2 additional salary grade levels and base salary will be applied while assigned to the Lawrence Livermore, California, work location due the relatively high cost of living there. If re-assigned to another NWP work location at a later date, the base salary and grade level will be adjusted to reflect the cost of living conditions of the new work location.
Bachelor’s Degree in a Science Related field plus two (2) years of related experience, or
Associate’s degree with six (6) years of related experience, or
High School Diploma or GED with ten (10) years of experience is required.
Two (2) years project management experience including responsibilities for budgets and schedules.
One (1) year of supervisory experience is required.
Due to the nature of work, candidates must be US Citizens.
Five (5) years working at a DOE Nuclear Facility is preferred.
Working knowledge of CCP TRU waste characterization activities and equipment is desired.
Safety or Project Management credentials is a plus.
