AECOM’s Construction Services business is expanding! We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to deliver a variety of civil construction projects based in our busy Canberra CBD office.
This is an opportunity for a Project Manager to work across a diverse project portfolio and get involved in client-side project management. AECOM Construction Services will provide support and assistance in a growing environment as well as the ability to work across a large multi-disciplined team from project concept to completion.
As a client-side Project Manager with a world leader in engineering and construction services across some of the biggest civil engineering projects throughout the globe, you will be exposed to a range of projects and stakeholders across multiple industry sectors.
Reporting to the Associate Director or Principal, this role will enable you to work across a variety of projects in Defence, Airports, Infrastructure, Education and Commercial industry sectors, while developing your career towards Senior Project Management in a client facing environment.
This is a concept-completion project and construction management position, allowing the successful Project Manager the opportunity to work in a client-side environment across all stakeholder groups from pre-construction phase and design, through to delivery and close-out.
Therefore a Project Manager who is proven in civil construction environments and keen to work in a fast-paced role will thrive within our Construction Services business.
Minimum 4 years’ of project management experience in civil construction projects
Professional exposure to Australian civil construction projects in a Project Management capacity , understanding Australian standards and project management frameworks
Proven ability to deliver projects on time, to schedule and within client parameters while utilising excellent stakeholder engagement techniques
Prior evidence of interfacing between community, Government, sub-contractors and consultants in a civil construction project
Broad background in civil construction projects highly beneficial; Civil Infrastructure, Airports, Defence, Education and Utilities
Confident communicator in client-facing environments and an ability to engage successfully across broad and complex stakeholder groups
Experience or exposure to developing proposals, contracts and managing sub-contractor agreements in civil construction environments
Strong ability to influence and confidence in negotiation.
