Job Description

AECOM is searching for a motivated and skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our Hydro-power team. This role can be based out of any of our Canadian offices. You will be working with our team of senior engineers, EIT's, technologists, CAD designers and project managers who focus on delivering high quality and challenging structural design projects within the Water business line.

You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team on various phases of Greenfield and Brownfield hydroelectric projects (planning, detailed design and construction follow up).

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establish and maintain client communication to define needs, present technical information, concepts or study results;

  • Assist Project Managers in monitoring, coordination, evolution and advancement of the production of deliverables by the design teams;

  • Prepare budget estimates;

  • Carry out and/or supervise design calculations, including stability studies, and ensure that plans correspond to guidelines, code requirements and other regulations;

  • Perform concept review and verification of design calculations made by others;

  • Ensure the verification and production of tender, construction and other technical documents;

  • Supervise the work of engineers and technicians and designers assigned to the project;

  • Perform any other related tasks that may help in the completion of the project.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering + 8 years’ experience in structural design and analysis of hydraulic structures

  • Registered as P.Eng

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in structural engineering

  • Skilled in structural design software, such as SAP 2000, Staad Pro, Etabs, and SAFE, and familiar with Revit.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $102,000.00 - $135,000.00.
