AECOM Senior Project Manager, Remediation in Calgary, Alberta

Job Summary

AECOM's Environmental Business unit is seeking a Project Manager, Remediation. This person will be responsible for managing and coordinating assessment and remediation projects, as well as for the maintenance of the schedule for local resources.

Major Responsibilities:

Managing and coordinating assessment and remediation projects with large Oil and Gas Clients

Provide technical expertise in support of ongoing AECOM assessment and remediation projects

Accountability for project performance and compliance with project delivery expectations

Demonstrating creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual project delivery and technical problems

Responsible for compliance with all AECOM project management requirements

Facilitate integration of technical support teams into projects

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements

In order to be considered, the candidate should have a Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree combined with no less than 4+ professional relevant experience.

Knowledge of operations management.

Full understanding of Alberta Tier 1/2 and CCME guidelines, in particular with regards to assessment and remediation for oil and gas clients.

Experience designing and coordinating remedial excavations and Phase I, II and III ESAs

Demonstrated project management and client development experience in the environmental business line

Experience developing and implementing project scheduling, monitoring and tracking systems

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Contract development and contractor management

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Strong Client management skills

Ability to manage time effectively and competing deadlines

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel and Word

High capacity with a can-do, positive attitude and an ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Biol., or PMP registration preferred

Experience working on projects for major oil and gas clients

Experience with Regulatory Applications & Documentation

Experience with Site Inspections, Regulatory and Environmental Compliance, Geological and Hydrogeological Evaluation, Conceptual Site Model development and validation and Risk Assessment

Experience in Contract Management/Administration
